Blythe is one of the cities located in Riverside County, California, USA. It is situated in the “Polo Verde Valley” of Lower Colorado River Valley area. It is mainly an agricultural region in the Colorado Desert that stretches across the coast of Colorado River. The city of Blythe was named after the eminent Thomas Blythe- a gold prospector. He was the person to establish the water rights to Colorado River. The population of Blythe was 20,817 at 2010 census. The city has been very active in sports and politics.
